Teaching is Learning

I always wanted to be a learner and the spirit is still up!

What I felt over the time is that the teaching is not only something you throw, vomit or present in front of everyone, just for the sake of proving yourself more knowledgeable. It should be something like learning the finer shades of knowledge you have or will be acquiring over the time.

“Yes, i have already read that”, is a common feeling for all of us when we re-read things before teaching it to students. But “Although I have read it before, today while teaching I understood one more dimension of it”, should be the true aim of teaching. When we teach we are actually learning the depths of knowledge we might have skipped in our studentships.

Recently, while learning from my students (teaching in official terms), I came across the following text about potency selection by Dr Jahr. Yes, it’s true academically but it’s even more interesting to learn it’s utility in practicing homeopathy.

A few important lines to remember for a lifetime by Dr Jahr

  1. “By continual diluting and succussing, remedies neither get stronger or weaker, but their individual, peculiarities become more and more developed, the sphere of action is enlarged”.
  2. “Low potencies have capacity to produce only general, common symptoms.”
  3. “Higher potencies have capacity to produce the mental, P.Q.R.S. symptoms.”

As a student the meaning of lines may be bit different as clinicians, but as a learner each time I read these lines, I feel more connected to different dimensions and directions of homeopathy.

I hope this learning goes far for everyone.

“Stay Connected“.
