I have used this remedy often for skin conditions like urticaroa, eczema or with people who have used antihistaminics Or antiallergocs for longer time. Increases the immunity and reduces sensitivity of skin. I have observed that patients needing this remedy are very irritable sensitive and short tempered generally.
And mostly we get the history of using antiallergics either for skin ailments or respiratory ailments.

Histaminum is considered as one of the hurried and impatient remedy in our Homoeopathic Materia Medica. Waiting is the most difficult task for them as it make them irritable and abusive.

Mind; anxiety; rest agg.
Mind; anguish; restlessness with
Mind; hurry, haste; occupation in
Mind; irritability with impatience
Mind; restlessness, nervousness, respiratory complaints, with
Mind; work, impossible, restlessness from

Hence we can consider Histaminum in those patients who came with respiratory or allergic diseases with hurried and impatient disposition.

Hello! I used Histaminum 200C for abdominal swelling due to celiac disease (autoimmune condition) and exposure gluten. After a prolonged period of abdominal swelling and persistent gas and feeling very unwell overall, it was a huge help! My abdomen went back to almost norma after 2 doses. I tried other remedies but only this one had a real effect. Lycopodium is also helping however. I am reluctant to continue taking it as I am not a homeopath.

I just read on your site that histaminum, especially in lower dilutions, should not be used too often. And that patients for whom it is indicated tend to be impatient. I have been using 6x to prevent acute recurrence of 2 gastric conditions that nothing else has helped. Perhaps, I should take a higher dilution?
 1. Postprandial somnolence: neither the type of food, nor the quantity are significant. It is the ingestion of food which causes it.  But if I take it as soon as  brain fog and the urge to sleep begin, it clears my vision and restores alertness.
2. Pain which might be related to hiatus hernia. I definitely have the hernia. If I feel the onset of gastric pain, and stop eating and take histaminum 6x immediately, it will prevent a massive, excruciating attack of abdominal-chest pain that feels like a heart attack. But it won’t stop it once the pain has begun to spread (I’ve been allopathically worked up for the chest pain. Nothing was found.)
I have read that when lower dilutions of homeopathic remedies cease to help, then higher dilutions are indicated. Is this not the case with histaminum? I would definitely fit the impatient patient description if I had to endure more chest pain if a higher dilution required that, but I surely want to solve the problem. Thanks very much!

Excellent question. I have been using it for hay fever relief. Started at 9c then up to 30c. It seems to work acutely only then needs to be repeated. I am taking it in conjunction with Zyrtec and Flonase because I am still itching and coughing after doing so. I understand there may be underlying conditions that will need to be addressed. I’ve read allergies can take years to heal with Homeopathy. I’m needing relief this spring. Thus I added Histaminum 30c. When is 200c indicated? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the great article. I inadvertently replied to another reader’s post. (Saskia)

Blame the hay fever!

I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks!

I have immediate postprandial drowsiness no matter what food I take or how much. But a few pellets of histaminum 12x under my tongue usually can prevent or reverse the reaction.

I also develop gas pain if my intake reaches my stomach’s capacity. This was true before I had hiatus hernia surgery and it is still true. Again, if I take it immediately when I feel any sensation in my stomach, histaminum will prevent the gas reaction.

Allopathic doctors have been unable to tell me why these phenomena occur or provide help in preventing them. It seems logical to me that if I knew the action of the histaminum and process it Iis affecting, it would provide a substantial clue as to the causes of the two problems. However, yours is the most comprehensive info I have found, yet it doesn’t provide the information. I am hoping that since you wrote the post, you have new info that could help If you have no answer as to the mechanism(s), do you think course of higher potency histaminum might yield resolution ?
